Pouf There It Is

Part foot stool, part chair, part just because decor... the Moroccan pouf does it all. Mainly adding functional pizzazz to interiors everywhere lately they come in just about every color under the sun including metallics.

While they cost a pretty penny despite their relatively small size I have spotted them at Home Goods before and found this DIY version. The reviews say it is easy, so if you're feeling crafty have at it and let me know how it goes.

Dressing Fun

Life is short, have some fun! I often forget that while caught in the hustle, and sometimes my wardrobe does too. I get stuck in a rut of jeans and blazer combos or maxi dresses in the same color combos with the same tassel necklace.

Sometimes the best way to get out of this rut is to have some fun with your accessories. Really, is there a necklace more fun than one called "tutti-frutti" consisting of a bunch of fruit? Thought not! Don't think you can rock? Try some color blocked wedges instead!

Modern Cowgirl

Cowhide rugs- I'm obsessed! But before you judge, it's not what you think. The look is so far from the wild west you won't hear a "yeehaw" or see a me in a cowgirl hat. Cowhides have been styled in interiors with modern furniture for a chic look.

One of my favorite things about cowhide rugs is that they're neutral colors allow them to be in incorporated into all sorts of spaces but their unique cutout shape allows them to standout for ultimate impact. How do I like my cowhide, you ask? Faux, of course but also layered. Perhaps layered upon another colored cowhide or a rectangular solid tan rug for some juxtaposition.

Lucite, it's certainly having a moment. From jewelry to decor and now shoes, lucite is everywhere. Did we not grow up listening to the story of Cinderella and her magical glass slipper? How those shoes turned her miserable life around and crowned her a real life princess.

While I'm not promising these lucite shoes will have exactly the same results, I can assure you they will make you look tres chic. So perhaps you'll be the Queen of Style. Long may you reign!

Few things make me as happy as a fresh new notebook, and a cute one at that! I'm a notorious list maker so I tend to go through notebooks quite quickly, yet a regular composition book just won't do. Call me a sap but I love sentimental gifts (even if they're gifts to yourself). Something that has meaning and when you see it you'll always remember the story behind it. I recently have been coveting map necklaces. They're perfect for marking a place in time near and dear to your heart.

Since I'm a born and raised PA gal I may get a state necklace from Maya Brenner. Or perhaps I'll get a street necklace from Three Jane to commemorate the university from which I graduated and spent many fun years. Decisions, decisions. Frizz-ified

Summer... it's a love hate relationship. I love it, it hates my hair. It seems a waste to struggle with tools like straighteners, curlers, even blow dryers for it will just frizz up the second I step outside. Over the years I've learned to embrace my wavy locks and thank goodness for texture spray, my hair almost looks cute!

Lemon Lime

You know how you go through your clothes every season? I think the same should be done with your decor. Now I'm not saying go out and buy a new couch or dining room set every season. I simply mean spruce things up, out with the old, in with the new.

A simple swap of cold weather pillows for warm weather pillows will do. For summer I'm loving lemon lime hues. They're so fresh and cheerful. They even look nicely paired together. It's all about simple changes to inspire and continue to style.

Sparkle & Shine

I may or may not have a new obsession with Deborah Lippmann nail polish (hint: I may). Her polishes broke into the scene about a year ago but I was late to the game and just now tried them. While glitter polish may be a HUGE pain in the rear to get off, I can't resist a little sparkle and shine.

What I like about Lippmann's polish is that most glitter polishes are clear or very sheer. Lippmann's on the other hand has a colored base so requires less coats. I've had my nails done for about a week now with her polish and it's still going strong with few chips.

As Rihanna would say, "shine bright like a diamond" ladies!

Make a Statement

There are those (few) days when putting on a cute dress is a struggle. Sometimes a gal just wants to wear jeans and a tee. You feel me? But of course, we have reputations to live up to, and stylish ones at that!

So when in doubt I suggest pairing your basic tee with a statement necklace. Not only does it give your outfit a pop or color but also makes you look totally put together. Best of all? It requires little to no time... insta-fashion!

Refresh

It is quite difficult to quench your thirst once the temperatures rise. Water is always the best option but often I get bored of it and need some flavor. My favorite way to add interest to aqua is to add fruits, veggies and herbs into the mix.

Right now I'm enjoying this combination of 2 cucumber slices, two lemon slices and some mint leaves. Simple but still quite delicious! Let me know how you add some zest to your water and comment below.

It's summer, time to break out the bronzer my beauties! The summer heat has me leaving my concealer and coverup in my cosmetic bag, instead I've been swiping on some bronzer, curling my lashes and dabbing on some lipgloss.

While in the past I've used traditional bronzers I'm now back on the hunt for something new. Luckily, the beauty market is full of alternatives from papers to brushes to even beads, there are so many ways to get your bronze on.

Alert the press, hot off the juice stand... Per Lei now carries Lilly Pulitzer in our new Sea Isle City location. While I'm head over heels for the maxis and casual shorts nothing beats this sweet little fishy necklace from the collection. A total summer statement if you ask me! Swimsuit Season

Some people dread bathing suit season, I embrace. No, I'm not completely confident in my figure. Far from it. I just love what the start of the season represents; warm weather, weekends at the beach, BBQs with friends and an excuse to shop for a new season!

It's Memorial Day, you know what that means? Honoring the brave men and women in our Armed Forces and that we can finally wear white! You've been wearing it all year, you say? It's okay I won't tell anyone. Today let's enjoy spending time with our friends and family while wearing an all white ensemble.

There's nothing as ladylike as an all white outfit with neutral accents.

Oh sweet summertime, it's just about here and we're headed to the beach! Don't you love the ease that comes along with your summer beauty routine? This weekend we welcome you to our newest location beachside in Sea Isle City. After months of designing, planning and moving merchandise we are thrilled for you to see perhaps our greatest space yet! To kick things off all this week I'll be posting some beachy inspiration.
