Pattern mixing has been a popular trend for a few seasons now but we still get asked how? There definitely is a science to as you don't want to leave the house looking like your delusional dear aunt Elaine but it's much easier to remember than the periodic table. 

Here are some basic rules:

• Mix patterns with at least one like color
• Pair large prints with smaller prints
• Never mix multiple animal prints
